Janalee Morris is the Executive Director of Humanist Canada, a national charitable organization that strives to create a fair and equal society guided by critical thinking and compassion. 

Janalee is a highly accomplished Student Services professional and educator with over two decades of dedicated experience in higher education, specializing in Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion (EDI), Universal Design for Learning (UDL), and Academic Strategy.

She has held influential leadership roles, including Director or Student Services & Wellness at Alberta University of the Arts, Manager of Learner Equity, Diversity, & Inclusion at Bow Valley College in Calgary, and as a Diversity, Universal Design, and Academic Strategist Coordinator at Mount Royal University. Her foundation in student support includes serving as Coordinator of Disability Services at the University of Manitoba.

With extensive curriculum development and teaching experience, she has instructed courses in Anthropology Through Film, Introduction to Disability Studies, Student Success Skills, and served as an EDI Education Facilitator. She was also faculty for the Disability Studies Program at Bow Valley College and an Instructional Designer at Olds College.

As a consultant and researcher, Janalee has led numerous impact studies and international development projects. Her published research, "The Impact of Gender, Accommodations, and Disability on the Academic Performance of Canadian University Students with LD and/or ADHD," reflects her depth of expertise. She has also presented on faculty-student services partnerships to promote UDL (Everyone Belongs) and worked on major international initiatives, including the Canada-Ghana Partnership for Disability Studies and PROUWD (Partnership for Research On Ugandan Women with Disabilities).

Committed to community leadership, Ms. Morris has served in volunteer capacities for organizations such as the Premier’s Council on the Status of Persons with Disabilities (Government of Alberta), the Calgary Police Service Persons with Disabilities Advisory Council, and the Canadian Higher Education Universal Design for Learning Collective.
